MUSIC! Feel the Beat
Music means rhythm, movement, dance and passion. It sets us delicately in motion or lets us dance wildly. The older we get, the more memories we associate with it - from the heartbreak of first love, to the wedding dance, to the funeral march when we have to say goodbye. Music is increasingly being used in therapy for dementia and thus promotes well-being, a feeling of familiarity and establishes a connection to one's own identity. This identity-creating power also has cultural significance; after all, music is played all over the world.
